All of these classes are available upon request as a private lesson.
 
November Classes
​  
Bright Hopes Baby Quilt or Lap Quilt Beginner.  Learn the basics of rotary cutting, machine piecing, quilt preparation, and applying binding in this easy class.  You can make a crib size up to a king.  We will complete the quilt in class.  Four sessions.  Class fee is $50.00 plus supplies.

• Tuesday evenings, November 6th, 13th, 27th from 6:00 to 8:30 pm

Faux Chenille November 3rd and 10th $45 class fee. These are soft and cuddly and easy to make.  Straight line sewing is all you need to do. Two sessions. 

Double Wedding Ring
Confident beginner.  Rotary cutting and machine appliqué.  This is the new and improved version of the traditional pattern.  We use Quiltsmart™ printed interfacing to make the quilt easy.  Three sessions.  Class fee is $45.00 plus supplies.

• Thursday evenings November 8th, 15th and 29th from 6:00 to 8:30 pm​

Five of Hearts Quilt
Confident beginner.  This is an original design by our own Rita Smith.  It can be a baby size up to a queen. You’re going to love making it for yourself or a very special person.  You will have small  hearts left over to make a cute wall hanging or doll quilt.  Three sessions.  Class fee is $50.00 plus supplies.

• Wednesday evenings, November 7th, 14th and 28th from 6:00 to 8:30 pm.

Disappearing Four Patch
Confident beginner.  This is such a fun quilt to make.  It’s much easier than it looks.  You will use charm squares (5” squares) packets or you can use your own fabrics.  Three sessions.  Class fee is $50.00.
·         Fridays November 16th, 23rd and 30th from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.​

 December Classes

Dahlia Quilt
Advanced.  This is absolutely stunning.  No curved piecing with the Quiltsmart  interfacing.  No templates, just sew on the lines.  It blooms beautifully right before your eyes.  Three sessions, class fee is $50.00 plus supplies.

Feathered Flying Geese Quilt
Advanced.  Rotary cutting and machine piecing.  Create this stunning quilt from fabrics in your stash or coordinated prints.  The key is having the right tools.  We love tools!  Three sessions.  Class fee is $45.00 plus supplies.

Illusion Quilt.
This quilt is so deceiving you’ll think the blocks are going to jump right out.  The colors you choose need to have a lot of contrast but that’s the fun of it.  Two sessions.  Class fee is $45.00 plus supplies.

Apple Core
Advanced. Rotary cutting, machine piecing, using fusible interfacing, and more.  In times past the ladies would exchange fabrics for more variety.  This would be fun to do with your quilting friends.  It is so much easier today with Quiltsmart printed interfacing.  Three sessions.  $45.00 plus supplies.

Twenty-five Patch
Confident beginner.  Rotary cutting, machine piecing, and applying borders.  The most difficult part of this quilt is selecting the colors, but we have coordinated fabrics to make it simple.  They are washed and pre-cut—all you have to do is sew.  Use your scraps for even more variety.  Three sessions.  Class fee is $50.00 plus supplies.  From the book, “Best of Black Mountain”.

Hankie Baskets
Confident beginner.  Rotary cutting, machine piecing and a small amount of hand stitching.  This is the class so many people have requested.  It has always been a favorite.  You can use your hankies or purchase them from us, but reserve yours early as we only have a limited number.  You will need 12 hankies. Three sessions.  Class fee is $45.00 plus supplies.

Garden Path
Confident beginner.  Rotary cutting, machine piecing and a small amount of hand stitching.  We will demonstrate 2 ways to make hexagons. This is a class many people have requested.  Three sessions.  Class fee is $45.00 plus supplies.
 
Grandma’s Dishes
Confident beginner.  Rotary cutting, machine piecing.  This is a fun and easy technique. You’ll be surprised at how quickly it goes together.  Three sessions. To be announced soon .  Class fee is $45.00 plus supplies.
 
 
Saturday Classes (one day classes.)
 
Saturday February, 3.  10:30 am to 2:00 pm.
Perfect Binding
·         Bring a project along that needs binding and we’ll show you how to give your quilt a perfect ending.  You will learn straight, bias and two-color binding.  Class fee is $5.00 plus supplies.
 
Saturday February, 17, and 24, 10:30 am to 2:00 pm.
·         Faux Chenille Baby Quilt.  These are soft and cuddly and easy to make.  Straight line sewing is all you need to do. Two sessions.  Class fee is $10.00 plus supplies.
 
Saturday March 3, 10:30 – 2:00 pm.
·         Fabric Rugs. No Sewing.  For a 36” rug you need approximately 8 yards of fabric.  Pre-wash your fabric before class.  You can use any 100% cotton quilting weight fabric.  They are very sturdy and can be washed over and over without damage.  They are so easy your kids may want to make one too.  One day class. Class fee is $5.00 plus supplies.
